G is for Gratitude

Relief Society is the name given to the women's organization in my church.  It is for any woman over the age of 18.  With 6 million sisters spanning 170 countries worldwide, we are currently the largest women's organization in the world.

Here's just 14 of the sisters that add to the growing numbers.  These are the Relief Society sisters of the Providenciales branch of our church here in Turks and Caicos.  We have sisters from America, The Bahamas, Brazil, Haiti and those that are native to Turks and Caicos.  We are varied in ages and nationalities but united together by our belief in God and our membership in the church.  I'm grateful that no matter where Byron and I go in the world we can always find our church, and I can always be part of an extended family of Relief Society sisters.

This little event we held on Tuesday night was to honour Sister Herbert (on the back row, 2nd from the right) who is one half of the missionary couple who are sadly moving back to Jamaica for now.  It was a lovely evening spent enjoying one another's company and sharing in lots of yummy cupcake and brownie related treats! Some things don't change no matter where you are in the world!
